Lake Tyrrell Tourism Infrastructure
The Lake Tyrrell Tourism Infrastructure Project was designed in collaboration with Thomson Hay Landscape Architects to improve the visitor experience at Victoria’s largest salt lake, Lake Tyrrell.
The project addresses the overall planning of the site and the development of visitor infrastructure, which includes all access public amenities, a viewing platform, paths, board-walks, a sky lounge and large scale ‘TYRRELL’ promotional letters.
Directional and interpretive signage has also been an integral part of the design to accommodate international visitors.
It is the clarity of the reflection on the lake has attracted people to Sea Lakes and Lake Tyrrell in order to capture the perfect photograph. The still water creates a mirror like image of the sky at any time of the day or night.
